Keyword Tracking Code Upgrade Complete

The development team here at OnlyOnlineMarketing.com has been hard at work. One of the things that sets us apart is our reporting, all done within our proprietary back-office software, action-office. We recently completed an upgrade to our keyword tracking code. The full string keyword search term that a visitor uses is a very important piece of data you want to capture for every visitor. Tracking the leads keyword allows our clients and our optimization team to see which keywords are actually resulting in leads and sales. This data can then be used to optimize those keywords that we know are profitable keywords. Our analytics already captured this information but capturing it and passing it along to the database with the lead info when the searcher fills out the form is another thing. Our old code did a decent job of it, but had some flaws, and according to our data only captured the keyword around 50% of the time because it relied on the google referrer url and parsing that data after the “q” in the url. Our new code is performing much better and effectiveness seems to be over 90%, close to 100%. This is due to the fact that it parses the data as an array and then pulls the query. Further data is still being collected. With this dramatic increase and thorough testing, we are officially releasing the code onto our current clients landing pages. Current clients transition to the new code will happen seamlessly and no outage should be noticed.
